This pot is an 1800’s reproduction known as a Qualla pot. The Qualla pot gets its name from the region, Qualla, where remnants were unearthed. The Qualla pot was traditionally used for cooking.
The designs on the pot were made the traditional Cherokee way, using carved wooden paddles to “stamp” the designs.
