The Corn Dancer

Petroglyphs of ancient peoples can be found all over the southeast. In present-day Brasstown, North Carolina this Mississippian era petroglyph appears along a two-mile section. While the exact meaning of most petroglyphs is unknown they are open to interpretation. To the artist this image depicts a dancer holding corn, hence its title.
